New Patients

On your first visit, you will have some forms to fill out. These forms will provide a snapshot of your current health status and timeline to your past. I'll even ask you about your birth!

We will sit down and discuss your health concerns and I'll ask a few more detailed questions. My goal is to find out if you belong in my office! Can chiropractic care help you?
A typical visit starts with a Dermathermograph reading that detects skin temperature patterns that can help determine if subluxations are present.
A posture check is then performed with the patient being asked to stand with their eyes closed. One of the manifestations of subluxation is a posture change, such as head tilt or one shoulder lower than the other.
If subluxation is present in the cervical spine, I'll use the Arthrostim adjusting instrument to apply the force necessary to correct the subluxation. The actual vertebrae and line of correction are based on the x-ray findings and is unique to each patient.
Another manifestation of subluxation is an inbalance in the leg length. One leg will appear shorter. In most cases, this leg length difference is functional, and not anatomical.

What to Expect

Initial Care

The symptoms (the aches and pains) of subluxation are addressed and this phase usually lasts from two weeks to twelve weeks. The goal is to get the patient feeling better and to increase spinal function. A patient is often seen a few times per week in the beginning of care.

Corrective Care

Spinal function is addressed in this phase of care and home care is critical for a great outcome. The patient is asked to continue the exercises started in Initial Care. Often, the patient will follow their adjustment by standing on the vibrating platform (the VIBE) with spinal weighting for a few minutes to help restore great posture. This phase of care can last a few months to a year. Their visit frequency is less than Initial Care.

Wellness Care

The body is functioning at its optimum capacity and the ongoing chiropractic adjustments enhance the body's ability to self-heal and to negate the ongoing effects of the physical, emotional, and chemical stresses of contemporary living.
Each patient determines their own health goals and we honor those decisions. We are here to take care of you for as long as you wish, be it a few visits or for a lifetime.

The ultimate goal of care in our office is for every patient to realize their maximum potential for health and wellness, and to help them achieve it. We hope to give that care in a friendly atmosphere and bring to the table, literally, the very best that Chiropractic can offer.

Why get adjusted?

The first major injury to the spine and nervous system usually happens at birth, as a baby comes down the birth canal. C-sections are not as gentle as you think! Every baby should be checked for subluxation as soon as possible. Baby adjustments are very gentle with some baby's actually falling asleep while they are adjusted.

All of the uncorrected slips and falls associated with learning to walk, riding bicycles, and other childhood mishaps can set in motion many spinal problems that we see as adults.

As we grow older, the pressure on our spines and nervous systems increase as collisions from sports and auto accidents increase. As we came into adulthood, the muscle patterns, soft tissue damage and nervous system interference became well established. Symptoms of a body malfunctioning, comes to the forefront.

However, chiropractic adjustments can help!

Regular chiropractic care enhances the physical, mental and emotional function of our bodies in the same way that brushing and flossing helps dental hygiene.

At Pantalone Chiropractic, we believe that every spine, no matter how small, deserves to be well adjusted. For that reason, we offer:
  • Prenatal adjustments
  • Newborn Adjustments
  • Pediatric Adjustments
Every patient that we see is unique and they have a unique perspective on what their care should entail. For that reason, we offer three phases of care to meet those goals.
